What is Pupil Premium?
Pupil Premium is additional funding provided by the government to support children from families who may face financial challenges. If your child is eligible for Free School Meals (based on income-related benefits), is in care or has been adopted from care, or has a parent serving in the armed forces, the school may receive extra funding to help enhance their educational experience. This funding allows us to invest in targeted support, enrichment activities, and resources that help close learning gaps and ensure every child reaches their full potential. If you think your child may be eligible, please follow the link below:
How should the Pupil Premium be used?
“Schools, head teachers and teachers will decide how to use the Pupil Premium allocation, as they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for individual pupils. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium, allocated to schools per FSM pupil, is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility.”
