At our school, we teach early reading through Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised, a complete systematic synthetic phonics programme designed to help children become confident, fluent readers. Little Wandle follows a carefully structured progression, enabling children to learn new sounds and letter patterns step-by-step while developing their reading, writing and spelling skills.
Through daily phonics lessons and regular reading practice, we aim to ensure that every child develops a secure foundation in literacy and a lifelong love of reading. Little Wandle provides consistency between school and home, helping children to make strong progress in their early reading journey.
